Development of Health Insurance Hospital Registry for IIB

This project was initiated by Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB) to create an All India Hospital Registry. Hospitals in this study would inter-alia mean, all health care facilities (small, medium and large), nursing homes, clinics, diagnostic centres, test laboratories, etc. which were covered under Health Insurance sector in India. Worked as Functional Consultant with GS1 India on this project from concept to completion.

Role and Responsibility –

  1. Discussing and documenting Business Requirements Document (BRD) in consultation with IIB and GS1.
  2. Prepared Infrastructure requirements for the project
  3. Downloaded the business requirements to the software development team
  4. Prepared test cases and assisted testing team in internal testing
  5. Participated in UAT, final discussion and handover of the project

Development of on-line Application System for Medical Colleges

This project was initiated by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India. to address the need for an on-line system for receiving applications to start a new medical college, introduce a new course in existing Medical Colleges or request increase in number of seats for existing courses. Ministry felt a need to streamline the process of receiving and approving applications under each category by implementing a web-based system. These applications and supporting documents were earlier received in hardcopy format thru post/courier. A need was felt for a change as the old system was cumbersome and less transparent.

Worked with National Institute for Smart Governance (NISG) and MoHFW to prepare Business Requirement Document outlining the functional requirements.

Role and Responsibility –

  1. Discussing and documenting Business Requirements Document (BRD) in consultation with NISG and MoHFW.
  2. Design of on-line application form for Opening a New Medical College, increase in capacity and adding a new course/ specialization  
  3. Downloaded the business requirements to the software development team
  4. Prepared test cases and assisted testing team in internal testing
  5. Participated in UAT, final discussion and handover of the project

Certification and Traceability system for Darjeeling Tea Exported and Traded in India

This system was designed to facilitate Certification of Darjeeling Tea, with active participation of all industry stakeholders of Darjeeling Tea as well as Darjeeling Tea Association (DTA) and Tea Board. The system would facilitate Traceability of Darjeeling Tea as it is traded or exported from India. The system would also assist traceability of Darjeeling Tea consumed anywhere around the globe.

Darjeeling Tea Association (DTA) in conjunction with Tea Board has been playing a pioneer’s role in promotion and branding of Darjeeling Tea worldwide for several years. Darjeeling Tea has a tremendous reputation in the International market and is popular for its taste and aroma. Tea produced in Darjeeling can only be sold as Darjeeling Tea in the market.

Role & Responsibility

  1. Worked with the existing Business Requirement Document (BRD) and assisted development team in streamlining workflows and identifying issues/ loopholes in the system
  2. Suggested several improvements in the process flow
  3. Prepared a dashboard for various stakeholders of the system such as Planters, Factories, Traders /Exporter and Admin
  4. Assisted in testing the system based on the revised workflows
